In yesterday's blog I suggested that Ivo Karlovic would prove a very hard taskmaster for Grigor Dimitrov in Zagreb today and that is exactly the way things panned out. Unfortunately I didn't actually tip him in my recommended bets but he was available at 3.55 before the match and, frankly, he looks to be in superb form. He served as well as he always does but his volley, his slice, and his forehand were all in perfect working order as well, leaving baby Fed with basically no chance. In this vein of form, and given its a home tournament for Karlovic on his favourite surface, I am going to recommend him at 19.50 to lift the title here on Sunday. He will have to come through Youzhny, Cilic, and Seppi, but based on today, it will take something very special to stop Dr. Ivo and the odds are attractive.
Also, Nadal is still available at pretty much 1.50 on the exchanges before his first match in 7 months against Federico Delbonis in Chile tomorrow. Get on!
